Utility Service Integration

Challenge

Efficiently manage customer data and process large volumes of service application requests from various file formats (Excel/PDF) specific to different measures. Streamline the qualification of products, creation of payment requests, and adherence to the approval workflow. Additionally, address the reporting requirements to ensure timely and regular updates for the program team.

Solution Brief

Implemented Salesforce to manage utility customer data, streamline application enrollments, and automate the approval workflow. Utilized Boomi integration services to successfully migrate over 2 million customer records and facilitate the uploading and regular extraction of payment updates. Additionally, established a process for seamless vendor invoice file uploads from Salesforce to SharePoint. This approach enhanced the speed and efficiency of application processing by minimizing manual intervention and automating key steps.

Effective data management is crucial for the client, who deals with diverse data types such as Escalators, Elevators, Customers, and Resources. The client faces significant challenges with data discrepancies during the transfer from source applications to various downstream systems. Additionally, the client operates in multiple countries, each with its own regulatory requirements, making the validation of customer data—such as addresses and billing information—particularly challenging.

Solution Brief

Utilized Boomi's Master Data Hub (MDH) to cleanse, enrich, and govern data—including addresses, customers, and resources. Implemented batch-based scheduling to retrieve data from multiple source systems. Additionally, Boomi’s API Management component was employed to manage listener services and facilitate real-time interactions with contributors via API processes.

Employed Boomi integration services to migrate over 10,000 asset records, synchronize end applications, and regularly extract payment updates. Focused on enhancing speed and efficiency by automating processes and minimizing manual interventions.
